Our Mission

At SPARK Day Camp, we collaborate with our campers to create a camp community whose foundation is built on Love, Compassion, Joy and Acceptance. We strive to provide a sense of belonging, while encouraging campers to try new things and fuel their growing passions with consistently expanding program areas. Our partnerships with like-minded organizations help us to foster our campers’ understanding and desire to give back.

Empowering Our Campers

Each week, SPARK campers choose special electives they’d like to try for the first time or revisit for a more intensive experience. This creates a more inclusive camp community where our staff work to SPARK the interests of our campers in programs they have expertise in.

We're accredited!

As the only recognized accrediting body for the camp experience in the United States, the American Camp Association accredits approximately 2,400+ camps nationally. However, that number represents only 25% of the camps that operate in this country.  ACA accreditation requires a thorough review of 290 standards of camp operations, from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.

SPARK recognizes that ACA camps set the highest standard in the industry. For us, it is a regular, independent health and safety audit of camp operations. For parents, the ACA-accredited camp sign symbolizes excellence and our accountability and ongoing commitment to the children we serve. Accreditation is a family’s best evidence that their camp is committed to the health, safety, and overall well-being of their child.
